  i have my jw bible but also have the good news bible that was used at the lutheran church i went to for about 8 yrs back in the 80's.. one (jw)is hard to read and understand some of the books and the (good news)other is to easy and leaves somethings out, well the jw one does to.. .

  who decides when to terminate a study?.

  does the decision come from "higher up"?.

  is field servant required to discuss "progress" of study with a determining committee?.

  "Knowing" movie- predictions about the end of the world

  this wasn't a perfect movie but it had some great special effects scenes involving a plane crash, a subway crash, and uh, deer.

  i won't give anything away but i was really surprised at how far this movie took its story.

  most of us have had dealings with end of the world predictions, so this movie is pretty pertinent to the forum..

  Feeling well sad/depressed

  my jw daughter wanted me to come to the meeting tonight as the d.o.

  is there this week and giving the talk and i sort of said i would but i just can't make myself get dressed in my jw duds and go.

  i haven't seen my granddaughters for a month since they live 20 minutes from kh one way and i live about 20 minutes from it in the other direction.i think i kept going as long as i did just to see them.not that my daughter won't let me see them but with school and all the jw stuff they are busy every evening seems like.and i don't like to make waves since daughter is dealing with her husband being df'd and has so much stress without me adding to it.i try to be understanding and hope she will wake up one day and be free of the jw's.her husband was a jw and got her into it and now he is df'd and enjoying it alot but she is carrying on with it.reading your life story posts helps me so much.i wish i could get her to read some of them.. .

  i love music and i think this year's contestants are quite good.. some have said the show is fixed.

  Anyone Read this book??

  i read this book in the 70's and it just came back to me as i have been reading posts on this site.

  it was called "this perfect day"by ira levin and the people in the perfect world believe everything they are told just like a jw and some are underground rebels..it is an interesting story sort of a 1984 type story but with a better ending and i am going to find the book and read it again.. .

  Catholic Funeral - Rosary and Viewing

  it was held at the funeral home.

  the rosary is a series of prayers led by a priest.
